About Exe Estuary 50k, Marathon & Half Marathon 2023

EXE ESTUARY 50K, Marathon & Half Marathon

Multi-terrain routes along the Exe Estuary and South West Coast Path

50k & Marathon start at Dawlish Warren  and follows the Exe Estuary through Cockwood, Starcross, alongside Powderham Castle and its Deer Park, then onto Exeter Riverside Park, here the Marathon turns, the 50k goes further into Exeter Quayside before turning, both routes now head down the other side of the Exe Estuary through the picturesque villages of Topsham (where the Half Marathon starts) Exton, Lympstone before reaching Exmouth, the route now joins the South West Coast path for the length of Exmouth Seafront and then heads onto the trails to the finish at Budleigh Salterton, by the beach. Half Marathon starts at Topsham.

The route is multi-terrain and is easy to navigate on Country Lanes, Riverside Paths and coast path trails but we will have extra signage, markings and marshals along the route. The roads you will run on are quiet but are not closed roads and there are some road crossings.

For the finishers there is a big bespoke medal.

There is the option to purchase a coach transfer ticket when entering (however the Marathon & 50k Coaches are full), the coach goes from Lime Kiln Car Park, Budleigh Salterton to Dawlish Warren or Topsham for the Half Marathon in time for the start of the event.

The Coach must be booked directly with us now! Email brian@windingpaths.uk however the Marathon & 50k Coaches are full!

The Exe Estuary is a cupless event, all runners will need to bring there own cup or bottle.

A GPX file will be available
