The very first "Great Harrier Race" and the oldest road race in Northern Ireland returns for 2025! Last year we celebrated our 100th Year of the Whitehead Road Race. 

Whitehead Road Race will begin with the family friendly 1.6-mile fun run at 12.00pm with the main 5-mile race at 12.30pm. 

Family fun run (1.6 miles):

• Starts at 12pm sharp


• Starts and finishes on Kings Road outside Whitehead Centre.


• 1 lap of Whitehead


• Minimum age 9 years old on race day.


• Medal for all finishers.

Whitehead Road Race (5 miles):

• Starts at 12.30pm on Cable Road at the junction with Victoria Avenue.


• Finishes on Kings Road outside Whitehead Centre.


• 3 laps of Whitehead.


• Entries limited to 250 


• Minimum age 15 years old on race day.


• Medal for all finishers.
