First run as the "Great Harrier Race" in 1924, the Whitehead Road Race is the oldest road race in Northern Ireland.
Our events, generously sponsored by Wright's Spar, will begin with the family friendly 1.6 mile fun run at 12.00pm with the main 5 mile race at 12.30pm.
Family fun run (1.6 miles):
- Starts at 12pm sharp
- Starts and finishes on Kings Road outside old post office.
- 1 lap of Whitehead
- Minimum age 9 years old on race day.
- Medal for all finishers.
Whitehead Road Race (5 miles):
- Starts at 12.30pm on Cable Road at the junction with Victoria Avenue.
- Finishes on Kings Road outside old post office.
- 3 laps of Whitehead.
- Entries limited to 250
- Minimum age 15 years old on race day.
- Medal for all finishers.
