Guernsey's annual novice-only triathlon event is BACK for adults and children!
ADULT ENTRIES - READ HERE:
A pool based, 'super sprint' distance triathlon - a perfect way to kick-start your love for tri or tick off that bucket list challenge!
No experience necessary! Come along and give triathlon a go in a fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere - you just need some bathers, a bike (and helmet) and your favourite trainers! You wont' regret it...
The distances:
300m pool swim
12km bike (flat course!)
2.5km run
Location: St Sampson's High School
Time: Adults (14+) 8am start. (Please note - if you are under the age of 16 you will need a parent / guardian to sign you in on the day of the event.
JUNIOR ENTRIES - READ HERE:
Ages 6 & 7 swim 50m, bike up to 600m (grass), run up to 300m
Ages 8, 9 & 10 swim 100m, bike up to 900m (grass), run up to 600m
Ages 11-13: swim 200m, bike up to 3k on closed roads, run up to 1km
From 11am at St Sampson's High School.
All parents and guardians are required to register online, and to sign in on the day (from 10.30am)
Helmets must be worn on bikes
NO PARENTS / GUARDIANS allowed in change rooms or in transition areas (volunteers are available to help).
This event is organised by Try A Tri Guernsey with support from the Guernsey Triathlon Club

Suggested entry criteria:
1. This is your first triathlon OR,
2. This is your 1st season of triathlon OR,
3. You have done a triathlon prior to 2021 but would describe yourself as a novice
No gear and no clue?! Don't worry! Try A Tri Guernsey will be hosting practice sessions for all of you budding triathletes. Come along with your questions and get an idea of what's involved - including a bike course reccy. These sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings at St Sampson's High School - dates TBC.
JUNIOR ENTRIES - READ HERE:
Any child aged 6 and over can enter this event provided they can comfortably swim 25m with no assistance, AND can spend time in the deep end of the pool with no assistance. All children should be comfortable riding a bike without assistance.
