Our Autumn / Winter coastal running series is back and has a new twist!
As always, our core focus is to bring people together through the colder months, keeping active and exploring our amazing coastline via our 'creative' run routes.
This time we are merging an idea from our other run series 'Chase Your Pace' with our favourite parts of CCS to bring you the ultimate running event! The combo of the two provides the opportunity for you to see and feel real progress as you complete the series.
The series starts with a 'mass start' cross-country 5k event, with the opportunity to track your time and set your 'pace'. You'll then complete 3 of our favourite routes from CCS - think Beast, Hoof, Frolic (for those familiar with the routes!) during December and January, before repeating the 5k route but this time it will be a 'handicapped' start. This last event gives you the chance to compete with yourself and chase your pace from Event 1 - it also means that we could have a mass finish if everyone runs at the same pace as in Event 1!
The event is open to adults and juniors 14+ (juniors aged between 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult and complete the shorter distance routes only).
Entry Options:
FULL SERIES TICKET with exclusive TAT Snood: £56
DROP IN REGISTRATION: £2 to register as a participant then £12 drop in fee for each event you join
See below for dates and locations.
Each event (except the Starter and Finisher 5km) will offer two routes, one shorter (5-6km) and one longer (up to 10km) route - you can decide which one you'd like to do on the day!
Sunday Nov 12th, 8.30am, STARTER 5km - L'Ancresse
Sunday Dec 3rd, 8.15am, BEAST ON THE EAST 5-7km - Jerbourg
Sunday Jan 7th, 8.30am, HOOF THE GOUFFRE 6-9km - Le Gouffre
Sunday Jan 28th, 8.15am, FAIRY RING FROLIC 6-9.5km - Pleinmont
Sunday Feb 18th, 8.15am, FINISHER 5km - L'Ancresse
The courses will be marked but you will need to pay attention to the route markers and read the route maps and descriptions prior to each event taking place.
All run routes will lead you over mixed terrain (grass, sand, mud, cliffs!) and events will take place throughout the winter months. We highly recommend wearing trail shoes or other grippy trainers to take part.
You should be confident to walk / jog / run on all of these types of terrain prior to the series commencing.
