Trans Pride Brighton and Hove is hosting its first ever fun run. We say fun run but that’s just because it rhymes, we have lots of fun, but you don’t have to run, you can walk it if you prefer. The route is nice and flat and asphalt, so it’s fully accessible for people in wheelchairs. The course can be run either as 2½ km or 5 km.
The fun run is open to all trans, non-binary, intersex people, friends, family and allies.
We are pleased to announce that we’ve just received funding from Sports England for this event, so all the money raised will go back to Trans Pride Brighton and Hove to help fund future events.
We have 4 types of tickets:
Please make sure that when you consult your doctor or nurse before running to make sure you're good to go. If you are registering with a carer, you don't need an additional ticket for your carer (unless they would also like a medal). One ticket = One medal.
Our route is along the gorgeous Hove Promenade, overlooking the sea and is a great opportunity to get a blast of fresh sea air to blow out all the cobwebs from the Trans Pride park and afterparty. We want to welcome people who don’t normally run (although you will need to make sure you’re fit enough to do the course).
We won’t be publishing a leader board or finish times. You also won’t be last, we’ll have tail walkers and we will have people on hand just in case you need help.
Feel like fundraising?
If you raise £100 or more you’ll also get a special custom designed Trans Pride Brighton Fun Run Technical T shirt (it’s technical because it’s one of those fancy ones that makes your sweat disappear somehow). To give you enough time to find raise we’ll be posting these out after the event because we’ll be getting them specially printed for our fundraisers, although it won’t be in time for this year’s race, you could wear it to next year’s one (if we raise enough money to do it again hint hint).
