This year, the Oxford Town and Gown 10k is taking place on Sunday 27 June 2021 (postponed from its original date in May). We made this decision with the health and wellbeing of everyone in mind, in light of the current COVID-19 situation.
We’re working with event and safety specialists to deliver a COVID-secure event, for full information on this see our Race Guide
An unfortunate consequence of the event date change is that we are having to remove the Junior 3k. We are working on alternative dates for the Junior 3k and will provide a further update soon.
All entries for 2021 will be secured with our covid policy, for more information visit our FAQ section on www.townandgown10k.com/oxford
About Oxford Town and Gown
Oxford Town and Gown is the oldest run in the series. It started in 1982 by local runners as a fun run to raise funds for muscular dystrophy and still to this day all profits from the race go to Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK).
2021 will be the 40th race for the run which now attracts up to 6,000 runners every year – including serious athletes, the casual runner and fun runners. The unique route is the only closed-road City Centre 10k in Oxford with a glorious stretch along the River Cherwell and finish in the University Parks. In 2019, the run was awarded Best 10k in South England by the Running Awards.
