Set in the stunning waters of Cromhall Quarry, The Lake Triathlon Series returns for 2026 with five thrilling sprint-distance races across the summer. Whether you're chasing a personal best, building race fitness, or competing for the overall series title, this midweek series offers the perfect blend of competitive racing and welcoming atmosphere.

Race Dates

Held on the second Wednesday of each month, starting:

• Wednesday 13th May 2026
• Wednesday 10th June 2026
• Wednesday 8th July 2026
• Wednesday 12th August 2026
• Finale: Saturday 12th September 2026

Race Format – Standard Sprint Distance

• Swim: 750m (0.47 miles) – Open water lake swim with full water safety support
• Bike: 18km (11.18 miles) – Road course on local roads
• Run: 5km (3.1 miles) – Road run finishing inside the quarry

A true sprint-distance challenge in a unique and scenic venue.

Event Evening Schedule

 Parking: Bottom car park (by the water)
 Registration: 5:30–6:30 PM (marquee lakeside)
 Race Briefing: 6:35 PM

 Start Times:

• Males – 6:45 PM
• Females – 6:50 PM

 750m swim • 18km bike • 5km run

Prizes & Series Competition

• Prize for 1st Male & 1st Female at each race
• Overall Series Champion (Male & Female)

The series operates on a points-based system — the more races you complete, the more points you accumulate. Consistency counts, so racing the full series gives you the best chance of claiming the overall title.
