About The Beale Beastie 2020

**WE PRESSED PAUSE ON THE BEALE BEASTIE AND WEE BEASTIE.  WE'LL BE BACK IN 2021, SO PLEASE CHECK BACK REGULARLY, OR SIGN UP TO OUR MAIL LIST TO BE THE FIRST TO KNOW WHEN THE BEALE BEASTIE 2021 GOES LIVE**

The best little triathlon in Berkshire - it's certainly the most beautiful anyway!

With adults racing in the morning, and juniors racing closer to midday, plus reduced price tickets to Beale Park, as well as a charity cake stall and a burger van, the whole family can get involved.

Every finisher bags themselves a beautiful bespoke medal as a brilliant memento of the day. Find out for yourself why we won the British Triathlon Federation Regional award for The Best Club Event 2018.

Please note that the swim is in a freshwater lake, and we do recommend that you have some experience of open water swimming before the day.  The race is more than likely to be wetsuit compulsory as it's being held in early June for 2020.

The bike course is challenging - there are a couple of local hills, but the views and the downhills more than make up for it.

The run is off-road and pancake flat with a great stretch along the Thames footpath.  The majority of the run is within the parkland grounds of Beale Park.

The Wee Beastie is our junior event for 8-16 year olds, held on the same day (around 11.30am) and is a rather unique open water swim for the junior athletes.  The bike and the run are safe within the grounds of Beale Park.

Wet suit hire is available for £10 through My Sporting Times.  Please visit https://www.mysportingtimes.com/product/beale-beastie-triathlon-2019-wetsuit-hire to order yours.  Remember though, that stocks are limited, so early ordering is recommended.

Here's what they said about The Beale Beastie 2018:

"Just an amazing day. When I registered the day before, I was so anxious, but the positive friendly reassurance actually turned me round.  At the event the lovely woman came up and asked how it went!!!!! How wonderful she remembered. The marshalls made it personal too, genuine warmth and family feel!!!! Thank you"

"Great morning of outside fun. First ever tri and I felt very well looked after. A big thank you to all of your friendly and enthusiastic marshals."

"Great location and layout and very helpful Marshalls. The pre event information was fab too"

"The actual event... Really enjoyable ride with some variety to it.  I enjoyed the cross country nature of the run through some lovely countryside. Lots of signage and encouraging marshalls the whole way round. Pot holes marked up on the cycle course as well.  Felt very much like an event run by Triathletes for Triathletes rather than a company trying to make profit every where.  Would recommend to anyone form newbie to seasoned to do it."

Beale Park is home to an exciting mix of animals and attractions, and all competitors and their families can enjoy a discount on entry into the Wildlife Park on the day of the event.  You can purchase discounted entry tickets for use on 19 May when you register for either The Beale Beastie or The Wee Beastie.
