The Cockington Christmas Caper has been organised since 2004 by local Christian Charity, The Barnabas Sports Trust. The race has a permit from the Association of Running Clubs (permit number - ARC/24/0657)
The 2024 race will again be at Occombe Farm. Occombe Farm benefits from free car parking, a wonderful cafe and lots for the family to do.
£1 from every entry will be donated to the Torbay Coast and Country Trust, a registered conservation charity who care for over 1700 acres of Torbay's most beautiful natural spaces, including the land the race is run on.
The race will be 8 1/2 miles approximately. It is an off road race on trails, footpaths and cycle paths, the route is very hilly and often muddy (trail shoes are recommended)
Every finisher will receive a mug, bag and a piece of Christmas cake.
Entries close at 7 p.m. on Wednesday 27th November - transfers will be accepted up to Wednesday 4th December at 7 p.m. No entries or transfers on the day.
Prizes will be given for the first three in all categories. If you win more than one category you will receive both prizes i.e. if a male finishes first overall and is also a vet 45 they would receive both the 1st male and 1st male vet 45 prize.
