PARKING - THERE WILL BE PARKING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SUSSEX (THE SCIENCE CAR PARKS ARE RECOMMENDED). Come off the A27 at Falmer, turn left at the roundabout and drive onto the Uni Campus. Take the first left on to Southern Ring Road. Take first right on to Science Park Road. There is a large car park if you keep driving straight ahead. It’s then approx. 10 minutes walk to the park from there. Please do not drive through the uni campus from the Stanmer Park entrance. This is the first time we have been able to use the university for our cross country events… we are keen to keep them happy so we can use them in future!! If this car park gets full then there are other car parks on campus.

RACE REGISTRATION WILL BE BASED IN THE MAIN START/FINISH FIELD.

Possible Change of timetable for the final race in February 2024 to allow for the presentation of junior medals. Senior / Vet / U17 Women's race will be at 14.20pm with the Senior and Veterans Men's Race at 14.50pm

NOTES

1. Entry Fee £6.00 for Seniors & Veterans.    £6.00 for U13, U15, U17, U20.     £4 for U11
2. On the Day Entry Fee £8.00 for Seniors & Veterans £8.00 for U13, U15, U17, U20.     £6 for U11

There will be an additional £2 levy for all unattached runners.

ENTRIES CLOSE AT 8AM ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1. Entries will be accepted on the day but where possible please avoid this.  Entries on the day will be charged at a higher cost.

All race numbers to be collected at registration on race day.

Please note: Sussex team managers use the first two cross country league fixtures (Goodwood and Ardingly) to make selections for the Inter Counties team at Oxford in December. If you are unable to compete in either of these fixtures for whatever reason, and would still like to be considered for the team, please contact matthews2000@live.co.uk

2.        All competitors must run in their own age groups.

 3.        Age groups: as on 31^st August 2023. Veterans as age on the day of race.

 4.        Under 17 Women have their own individual and team category. They will ALSO be able to score in their club’s senior team. Under 17 Men must run in the U17 Men’s race.

 5.        All Junior, Senior, Veteran Women and Men must declare age groups when entering, i.e. U20, Senior,       V40, V50, V60, V70 for Men, and U17, U20, Senior, V35, V45, V55, V65, V75 for Women

6.        For individual awards the best three results will count from the 4 fixtures.  Individual medals will be awarded to the first three in all groups, including all three Veteran categories, male and female.

 7.       Team Awards for all age groups will be based on the aggregate of all four races.

All Juniors   U13, U15, U17 three to score. (no under 11 team race)

Senior Women     (includes U17,U20, Veterans)   There will be two divisions again this season.       

Division 1 (four to score)  See Sussex AA website

Division 2 (three to score) all other teams including other B and C teams.

Womens Veteran League Three to score. Veterans can score in Senior and veterans teams.

Senior Men.   There will be three divisions again this season. 

Division 1 (six to score) – See Sussex AA website

Division 2 (four to score) See Sussex AA Website.

Division 3 (four to score) all other teams including other ‘B’ and ‘C’ teams.

Mens Veteran League.  Teams will be three to score. Veterans can score in Senior and Veteran teams.

   8.      Composite teams will be allowed. They will need to notify the league organiser before the first race.

   9.      Club colours must be worn by all competitors.

 10.      2^nd claim athletes may run and score both as individuals and in team events.

 11       Athletes with disabilities who wish to enter any of the league races should contact the league organiser beforehand to discuss the suitability of the course(s) for their disability

 12.      Incomplete teams – the position of the last runner in each race + 10 points will be added.
