The first four to finish in the county championships are selected for the National Inter Counties. Additional runners are selected by the team manager based on recent performances. Junior Athletes are expected to have demonstrated their experience and ability at a minimum of 2 cross-county course races organised by Sussex AA, SEAA or UKA for consideration for both the above events.
The final teams will consist of runners and reserves, with a maximum of 8 runners in all races except the seniors where 9 athletes per team are able to compete on the day. Please note U20M and U20W must be still under 20 on 31st December 2024. There is no U11 age group at the inter counties.
Team managers are asked to advise athletes with disabilities who wish to enter that they should contact Kate Matthews on 07738706683 to discuss the individual implications of the disability risk assessment.
INDIVIDUAL & TEAM AWARDS - Medals will be awarded to first three in each age group (including U11s) and also to the first three teams in each race (except U11) – three to score except Senior Women (four to score) and Senior Men (six to score). Club vests must be worn to be eligible for awards. Under 20s can compete as seniors but this needs to be declared in advance of entry. This will also exclude them from the U20 individual and team medals.
Presentation of awards will take place as soon as is practical after the results are available and proceedings allow.
DATA PROTECTION - In entering this event, athletes are agreeing to Sussex AA publishing personal information as part of results and passing such information on to the government body and/or affiliated organisations. Data may also be used to provide information on future events.
