The Centre benefits the public in a variety of ways: hosting of parish events; the provision of a venue for a wide range of community activities including sporting groups. It accommodates the only playground in the parish as well as a tennis court and petanque terrain. It also provides a bad-weather facility for the St Mary School next-door and helps run social events jointly with the school on the adjoining playing fields. The benefits which accrue to a wide range of Users from nursery school children; youngsters at the Kids Club and Youth Club; adults via the various clubs and sporting organisations; community events and private hire; the community dinners; exercise and well-being opportunities and promotes social cohesion in a community where alternative facilities are lacking.
