Somer AC are pleased to announce the return of our 10km Trail race Mother Tuckers, across the same exhilarating scenery as our successful inaugural event, on Sunday 5th October 2025.
New for 2025 is Little Tuckers; this is a 3.2km trail race which forms part of the 2025 Wiltshire Junior Race League (WJRL). Starting from the legendary Tuckers Grave Inn and Campsite, our Little Tuckers runners will follow a lovely course that again features a blend of tarmac and trail.
After that, we have our Mother Tuckers runners enjoying our usual fantastic trail course (linked by some bits of tarmac - if you want to check out the course, head to https://explore.osmaps.com/route/19856104/mother-tuckers). The opening section rewards you with commanding views of the sumptuous Somerset countryside, before you trot past the Stony Littleton Long Barrow, and then you embrace the Incline of Opportunity. A beautiful event that is part of the 2025 Somerset Series too.
We aim to make this a joyous occasion. Camping can be booked directly with Tuckers Grave Campsite if you want to make a weekend of it. You'll receive a lovely bespoke medal to reward your efforts and remind you of the fab countryside. We're also supporting Bowel Cancer UK as well as Moorfields Eye Hospital. What makes this special...
For your own safety, and as the event does involve some quiet country roads that will still be open for local resident access, headphones (incl. bone conducting designs) are not permitted to be worn. Junior runners (i.e. 7 years minimum, and under 18 years of age on race day) must have the consent of their Parent/Legal Guardian before entering, making payment and taking part. We regret that landowner permissions preclude canicross participation. This event is fully accredited by Associated of Running Clubs (ARC) under permit. To support your training, get the RaceReady app.
