SWIM BRIGHTON SATURDAY 5 JULY

Sea Lanes has teamed up with Brighton Tri Club to present Swim Brighton, Brighton's premier open water swimming event. Swim between the iconic pier the marina. The challenge features 4 exciting sea swims:

• 750M – DIP YOUR TOE An unmissable chance to try your first open water swimming event. With a short distance and full safety coverage, the 750m swim offers an ideal starter sea swim.


• 2.5KM – MILESTONE SWIM For those who have conquered a mile and are looking for the next level of challenge, the 2.5km swim welcomes all sea swimmers.


• 5KM – A BREATHTAKING JOURNEY If you are a seasoned sea swimmer, this is THE must-do swim in Brighton this summer that should not be missed!


• VIP TRIPLE CROWN  - ALL THREE DISTANCES The ultimate challenge on the day is to swim all three distances with the added bonus of VIP treatment. When signing up to the triple crown you will get access to the pool changing rooms and hot showers, dedicated VIP bag drop and chill out area with access to hot drinks on the beach.

EVENT DETAILS

All swims include full safety coverage and chip timing. Participants will also receive a commemorative swim hat and swim badge.

• Please note the tide will be ebbing and flowing during the swim and swimmers will take varying times to complete the course. We cannot guarantee a definite distance for all swimmers, however the course route at the time of planning/laying of course allowed for the advertised distance. The course is based on flat clam seas on the day so course may have to change depending upon weather conditions on the day. Routes to be mapped out and measured by boat in spring 2025. Following which maps and details will be shared. 


• You can wear skins or a wet suit but no fins, paddles, music in the ear (sorry it's very dangerous when in a group setting if you can't hear others around you) or tow floats please.


• All swimmers to come swim ready - The changing rooms at Sea Lanes pool will not be available unless you are taking part in the VIP Triple Crown 


• Bag drop will be on the beach. It will be manned at all times but we can not take any responsibility for any loss or damage so please don't bring any valuables. There are lockers on the beach by sea lanes you can bring padlocks for but they are not guaranteed.


• Parking is very limited. We advise to come on public transport or park at Brighton Marina. More travel info here. 

EVENT TIMINGS

• 5K - Check in 0715. Briefing and warm up 0845. Swim off 0900. Cut off time 1130


• 2.5K - Check in 1000. Briefing and warm up 1130. Swim off 1145. Cut off time 1300


• 750M - Check in 1130. Briefing and warm up 1300. Swim off 1315. Cut off time 1400


• Triple Crown - Participants may be swimming back to back depending on their swim times.
