About Overcoming the Fear of Failure - A talk by Channel Swimmer Cliff Golding

23rd April 7pm - Sea Lanes Event Space

Believing that motivation can only come from within ourselves, Cliff’s talk is based on over 30 years of experience in open water swimming and in particular, his personal journey in swimming the English channel which took 7 attempts.

His talk aims to help people to combat the fear of failure and develop a resilience to help break that ‘can’t do’ barrier. Cliff’s objectives is to explain and demonstrate how, through aspiration, inspiration and motivation, targets can be met and achieved in all walks of life .

If you are struggling with training for a big event or even work related goals, this talk is for you.

Cliff Golding claims to be a runner masquerading as a swimmer, but he is a two-time solo Channel swimmer and has completed many other iconic swims including Lake Windermere, Zurich See, Round Jersey and Jersey to France. He has also completed many marathons, cycled solo from John O’Groats to Lands end and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro.
