Come and join us on a Winter's Sunday for this year's Christmas Paddle (3km), raising money for Turning Tides.
Turning Tides is now the biggest provider of services for single homeless people in West Sussex. They continue to grow and develop their services to meet the needs of the local area – with over 5,000 supporters, 300 volunteers and 140 staff. With the last few years being tougher than most, your support will be appreciated more than ever, so get dressed up and join us for a salty Christmas paddle.
With both participation and race options available, this festive splash is open to all (over the age of 18).
The paddle will take place on Sunday 5th December. You will launch from the slip way on the River Adur opposite the Adur Recreational Ground and head up river with the last bit of the incoming tide. The turn around point will be around the Shoreham fly over bridge (approx 1.5km up river). Once turned, you will make your way back to the slip way, to complete your 3km paddle (please note, on the return you may be against the last bit of incoming water before slack).
Registration will open from 0930 and the event will start at 1045. Waves will be set off at 3 minute intervals with the first two waves offering a race option. FANCY DRESS IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED BUT OPTIONAL
