About ROC Coastal Trail 2022 CANCELLED

ROC Coastal Trail is a half marathon for runners and walkers, from the UK's most easterly point during the First Light Festival, Suffolk, on 19 June 2022. Participants will be treated to stunning coastal courses and a vibrant carnival atmosphere.

Starting at dawn (approx 04:30) on South Beach, the ROC Coastal Trail will head southwards along the coastal path towards Kessingland before looping back to Lowestoft. The trail will pass through unspoiled landscape and beautiful beaches.

The event will be chip timed, with podium prizes up for grabs, and all participants will receive a medal on crossing the finish line. Water stations will be located around the halfway mark of each course.

The First Light Festival is a 24-hour multi arts festival in a beautiful Suffolk coastal setting that will celebrate one cycle of midsummer sun setting and rising over the beach. Weekend camping is available too.

The event is fundraising in support of local charity St Elizabeth Hospice, to help improve the lives of people living with a progressive illness in East Suffolk, Greatt Yarmouth and Waveney. The hospice provides essential services free of charge, with three quarters of the funding needed to provide these services raised within the local community. St Elizabeth volunteers will be helping marshal the courses, and any donations that are made in support of the hospice will be gratefully received.

Entries are open to participants aged 18 or over on 19 June 2022 with Early Bird prices available until the end of February. The event instructions and course map will be available soon and emailed to all entries.
