Before you enter Mountain Skills Weekend Bala Wales

Whilst R2R does everything it can to provide fully inclusive events it is your responsibility to ensure you are physically able to participate in the organised elements of this event.

Please ensure you have a tent for the campsite with a roll mat to insulate you from the ground. 
For the mountain days, please can you have the minimum of waterproof clothing, warm top, hat, gloves, boots, waterbottle and rucksack.
The two mountain days will be physically challenging, it’s advised that people start to train now to get strength into their legs, however as with everything, Rock, we are a team and we will all work hard to get people on to the summits.

About Mountain Skills Weekend Bala Wales

We are excited to be running our 2nd Mountain Skills weekend in the stunning back drop of Lake Bala. This is a unique opportunity to experience world class Royal Marine mountain leader expertise for an unforgettable 4 day adventure in the Welsh Mountains!

Dates - Fri 20. 9.24 - Mon 23.9.24

Led by our experienced Royal Marine Mountain Leader team we will run two mountain days and a skills day, abseil, map reading and more, with lots of learning opportunities to grow your confidence in the mountains. We will as always have lots of fun and plenty of social time getting to know each other.

We have secured a number of non electric pitches at the campsite, all near one another. 

Bala Camping - Gwersyllfa Pant yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite - Caravan, Camping and Glamping on Llyn Tegid’s lakeside in Bala, Gwynedd, North Wales (pantyronnencampsite.co.uk)

All participants will drive themselves to Bala, our meeting location is Pant Yr Onen Lakeside Campsite, Llangower, which will be home for the weekend.

£50 Registration fee will secure your place with the balance of £350 to be paid by September 1st 2024.
