Before you enter Stroud Half Marathon 2023
We are very sorry but this event has now sold out.
To be in with a chance of securing a cancelled entry, please join the waiting list and we will invite on a first come first served basis for any places that become available.

Although not flat, the course is a great place for a fast time. Suitable for racers, recreational runners and novices alike.
Sustainable finishers memento, free event photos and unique medal to all finishers.
Race numbers will be sent 10 days before the event. Anyone entering after then will have to collect their number on the morning of the race.
The race starts and finishes on Cainscross Road, adjacent to Marling School playing field.
Car parks are situated around Stroud (some of them are free of charge on a Sunday) Maximum walk time is approximately 10 -15 minutes.

Once again this year the event will be CUPLESS! This means that we will NOT be providing disposable cups at water stations, volunteers will be happy to fill your own bottles/ cups. In our quest to reduce the waste produced by running events we ask you to respect this and run with your own drinking vessel.
HEADPHONES
For your own safety, headphones of any type, including bone conducting, are not permitted at Stroud Half Marathon.
Please note this event is not suitable for wheelchair athletes or running buggies.

Event Protect provides certainty of the ability to reimburse ticket holders in the case of a protected cause resulting in event cancellation. In the case of a cancellation / postponement / abandonment / curtailment of an event covered under the Event Protect Programme, refunds will be made directly to ticket holders in a fast and transparent way By enabling Event Protect your Event Organiser is protected against all risks that are:
- beyond the control of the event organiser and RaceNation; and
- not listed in the event cancellation policy exclusion list.
Examples include, but are not limited to: adverse weather conditions, key event supplier failure, transport failure causing a cancellation, breakdown of key equipment etc.

About Stroud Half Marathon 2023
FREE EVENT PHOTOGRAPHS
We will be offering FREE OF CHARGE event photographs for every single runner, as well as a sustainable memento and of course a fantastic medal!
CUPLESS RACING

USING HEADPHONES WHILST RUNNING
The use of personal stereos, iPods, phones or other music devises is not allowed under UKA rule 240 S5 – the wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic.
- The wearing of such equipment may prevent you from hearing instructions from marshals and other event staff as well as the hearing of sirens/horns from emergency services and other vehicles. By wearing such devices you are putting yourself and those around you at risk.
- Rule 240 S5 also accepts use of conductive headphones, however the final decision lies with the Event Organiser, and we DO NOT allow their use as it is impossible for marshal to differentiate between them and other types of headphones when runners pass them.
- The Event Organisers will have no responsibility should this rule be ignored. Please do not risk our ability to be granted a future licence.
- Runners seen to be wearing headphones will be disqualified by the Event Organisers
