Spartan SGX Fitness Class

Before you enter Spartan SGX Fitness Class

This will be an in person live class for a maximum of 10 people or you can do 30mins  of the class online.

The first 30mins will be the online version that some of you have been doing for the last few months, then we will say goodbye to the online group and continue with the class as a functional bootcamp session for the last 30mins

Spartan SGX is the group exercise system used by Spartan Races, during the sessions we will train with mostly bodyweight movements designed to help you prepare not only for Spartan races, but any OCR you might take part in, but its not just for racers anybody can take part and benefit from this way of training.

We will also use some of the things you may see at Spartan races from time to time, like the bucket carry, sand bags and heavy skipping ropes.

Start time: 6.00 - 7.00pm

Please remember that these are RULES not guidelines and must be strictly adhered to at all times that you are on site, until I am able to lift restrictions inline with the most recent government protocols and my own risk assessment policies regarding covid -19

DO NOT COME TO OPP IF YOU ARE SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF COVID-19 OR IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYBODY THAT IS INFECTED.

ARRIVAL

Strict social distancing of 2 metres must be adhered to at all times

BE READY 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SESSION START TIME TO ALLOW TIME FOR A SHORT SAFETY BRIEFING AND CODE OF CONDUCT INSTRUCTIONS

You must park in your designated area and remain by your vehicle until called, use the time to change and prepare for your activity

Toilets will be open but on a one in one out system with strict protocols for use in place

You must leave as soon as your session is finished to allow the next participants to arrive safely

KEEP YOUR DISTANCE, 2 METRES MINIMUM

WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN YOU ARRIVE AND WHEN YOU LEAVE

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE

DO NOT LICK YOUR HANDS

DO NOT SPIT INTO YOUR HANDS

DO NOT SPIT ONTO FLOOR

YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE WARNING ONLY FOR ANY INFRINGMENTS, IF YOU CAN NOT ADHERE TO THE RULES THEN YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE, THERE WILL BE NO DISSCUSSION

THIS IS FOR EVERYBODYS SAFETY 

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER DURING THIS TIME

  • You MUST bring ALCOHOL BASED hand sanitiser with you
  • You MUST use hand sanitiser AFTER using EACH obstacle, IT IS IMPORTANT YOU ALLOW THIS TO DRY BEFORE YOU USE AN OBSTACLE, THERE IS A RISK OF BURNS TO YOUR HANDS FROM WET SANITISER 
  • Park in the designated area for your session
  • Stay by your car until you are meet 10 minutes before your session for a short briefing
  • Be ready to start your session as soon as your briefing finishes 
  • Maintain social distancing off 2 metres during your stay at OPP
  • Respect every ones space while you are training
  • Gloves are optional for obstacle practice or fitnes classes - you will still have to sanitise gloves if you chose to wear them
  • Toilets will be open on a 1 in 1 out bassis and you must bring your own HAND TOWEL
  • for some parts of the course it is not possible or practical to maintain the same level of cleaning as the rest of the course receives, these areas are signposted and will be pointed out to you and although hand cleaning spots are in use, you use this area at your own risk.
  • you CANNOT use the cleaned part of the course once you enter this area
