The OPP Spartan 300 will be a 300 meter race using some of the OPP Spartan obstacles the idea will be for the race to be fast and flowing event suitable for all levels of ability with heats and head to head racing.

The obstacles used will be chosen from-

Walls - Monkey Bars - Rope Climb - Rope Traverse - Balance Beam - Vertical Cargo Net - Z-Wall        Hurdles - Barb Wire Crawl - Inverted Wall - Stairway to Sparta - Slip Wall - Olympus - Twister      Bucket Carry - Multi Rig - Spear Throw 

The racing categories will be:-

Elite (any age over 16yrs)

Grade 1 - Any athlete that has had two or more age group podiums last season (any age over 16yrs)

grade 2 - Any athlete that has run age cat but has less than two age group podiums (any age over 16yrs)

Grade 3 - Entry level competitive never been on a podium (any age over 16yrs)

IF YOU HAVE EVER RUN ELITE THEN FOR THIS COMP YOU MUST ENTER ELITE GRADE

Race format -

We will use the same running clock format as the OPP 400 with heats running every few minutes so its important you ae ready to race at your slot time or you may miss your heat

Heats two attempts to post a time with the 4 fastest heading to a head to head semi-final with the semi- final winners going head to head in a final.

Basic rules will be based on the Spartan obstacle rules with some OPP additions

Some obstacle will be mandatory so you must complete them to continue or you will receive a time penalty

A small number of obstacles will have either a 10 burpee penalty or other penalty this will probably only apply to maximum of 3 obstacles. 

When entering please enter at the correct category to make even and fair racing - NO SANDBAGGING PLEASE - this is a chance for those not normally at the top of the podium to race with those of a similar ability and dont forget it is for fun
