Before you enter Functional Fitness Bootcamp 2020

We will use some of the things you may see at Spartan races from time to time, like the bucket carry, sand bags and heavy skipping ropes and occasionally some obstacles may be used

Functional Fitness classes are about getting fitter, becoming stronger but most importantly getting you race fit and life fit, we will train in a way that will get you moving in different ways and using neglected muscles which will help prevent injury in your sport and everyday life, you will lift, jump, pull and push, using ropes, tyres, weights and your own body weight with elements of the Spartan SGX Programme.

Classes are on weekends, mainly Saturdays before Open Practice but also the occasional Sunday, they are held alternate weekends to Obstacle Bootcamps

Sessions are for a maximum of 14 people.

There must be a minimum of 4 people booked for the session to go ahead, if the required number is not reached by 7.00pm the day before the session it may not go ahead, if this happens you will be refunded your session cost.

About Functional Fitness Bootcamp 2020

Functional Fitness classes are about getting fitter, becoming stronger but most importantly getting you race fit and life fit, we will train in a way that will get you moving in different ways and using neglected muscles which will help prevent injury in your sport and everyday life, you will lift, jump, pull and push, using ropes, tyres, weights and your own body weight with elements of the Spartan SGX Programme.

We will follow strict covid-19 restrictions and safety for your protection so please take time to read the information before you come to any session at OPP

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER DURING THIS TIME

  • You MUST bring ALCOHOL BASED hand sanitiser with you
  • You MUST use hand sanitiser AFTER using EACH obstacle, IT IS IMPORTANT YOU ALLOW THIS TO DRY BEFORE YOU USE AN OBSTACLE, THERE IS A RISK OF BURNS TO YOUR HANDS FROM WET SANITISER 
  • Park in the designated area for your session
  • Stay by your car until you are meet 10 minutes before your session for a short briefing
  • Be ready to start your session as soon as your briefing finishes 
  • Maintain social distancing off 2 metres during your stay at OPP
  • Respect every ones space while you are training
  • Gloves are optional for obstacle practice and for fitness classes
  • If you wear gloves for obstacles or fitness classes you will still need to sanitise your gloves when required.
  • Toilets will be open on a 1 in 1 out basis and you must bring your own HAND TOWEL
  • No spectators
  • for some parts of the course it is not possible or practical to maintain the same level of cleaning as the rest of the course receives, these areas are signposted and will be pointed out to you and although hand cleaning spots are in use, you use this area at your own risk.
  • you CANNOT use the cleaned part of the course once you enter this area 
  •
