Jersey Cricket is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new girls' cricket league: Walkers HERA Cricket Legacy!

Walkers HERA Cricket Legacy is designed to give girls the opportunity to play more cricket, in an environment where teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun take centre stage! 

Who Can Join:

Girls aged 7-15 who are keen to enjoy some cricket!

What is HERA Cricket Legacy?

HERA provides a vibrant space for girls who want to enjoy social and competitive cricket in Jersey. The league features four clubs connected to established clubs on the Island, creating a strong community for young players. Each team will benefit from mentorship by two members of the Women’s Squad, along with a dedicated manager and coach from the club.

Our Clubs:

Please select from one of the three clubs below to join for the summer:

• Farmers Fire (East) - Wednesdays - 6-7.30pm @ Farmers (starts Wednesday 23rd April) 
• Walkovers Invincibles (Central) - Thursdays - 6-7pm @ Grainville (starts Thursday 15th May)
• Western Warriors (West) - Sundays - 10-11.30am @ Les Quennevais (starts Sunday 4th May)

Matches between the clubs will take place throughout the season on Sunday mornings. Once signed up these fixtures will be communicated by the designated club lead for the HERA Legacy programme.

Players DO NOT need to be available for all training and matches to take part. We want as many girls as possible to access cricket so even if they can only make either/or then please sign them up.

Please note that we have merged St Ouen Springfield and Chirpys CC into Western Warriors to ensure the fixtures can be fulfilled.

Cost: 

The cost for the 10 weeks of games, coaching and a club training t-shirt is £50.

What to Expect:

• Skill Development: Enjoy dynamic coaching sessions tailored for fun, with options for hardball or hybrid cricket. Each club will be provided with qualified coaches who will bring their passion and expertise to help each girl enhance her skills.

• Winter Program: Kicking off in January, our weekly training sessions will focus on building essential skills in bowling, batting, and fielding.
• Summer Program: In the summer season, girls will train bi-weekly and compete against other clubs on alternate weeks.
• Team Spirit: Join a community where girls can grow as individuals and develop friendships, all while enjoying the game of cricket. A chance for the girls to be part of a brand-new legacy!

• Competitive Matches: Participate in thrilling league matches throughout the season to gain valuable match experience and showcase their skills, while having fun with friends.
