This event will be following social distancing measures and delivery guidelines set out in the guidance document published by Triathlon England following the UK Governments advice.
Mandatory:
Several changes may take place during now and the event, as such we will not be posting updates every time something changes as this will cause confusion, we will be outlining our event plan and notifying of any essential changes prior to the event.
The minimum age to take part in this event is 18, this age has been implemented as a temporary measure while we work with the new guidelines.
Headphones including bone conductor headphones are not permitted to be used during this event.
Cancellation
Entries will be open between 22nd July 2020 (09:00) - 30th August 2020 (18:00), unless full prior to this.

All persons (competitors, spectators, staff, volunteers, contractors) will be required to provide contact details for the NHS Track & Trace system. This will be collected electronically prior to the event. If this information is not provided, you will be denied access to the event site.
There will be strict limitations to a maximum of one nominated spectator per competitor for this event, any spectators MUST pre register and the athlete MUST nominate you as their spectator. If you have not pre registered then you will not be permitted to enter the premiss.
Standard Triathlon: 1500m Swim (Lake), 39km Cycle (Road), 9km Run (Lake Path)
Sprint+ Aquabike: 750m Swim (Lake), 39km Cycle (Road), 100m Run (Lake Path)
One athlete will start every 30 seconds from 09:00.

The swim will take place in the beautiful lakes of the Cotswolds. The event will be a trickle feed rolling start with swimmers setting off every 30 seconds. Once completing the swim, you will prepare for the cycle stage around the Cotswolds taking in some fantastic scenery. The cycle course is fairly flat with a couple of gentle sloping inclines. Once completed you will drop your bike off for the run course around the lake.
You will be able to register for the event and pick up any race numbers before your start time. You will be required to show photographic identification or your confirmation email to verify whom you are when you register on the day. Race registration will be open from 07:45 on the day. All cycle racking is to take place on the day of the event. Only competitors will be allowed in transition. Due to the coronavirus measures in place, please do not arrive to registration more than 01 hour and 15 minutes prior to your start time.
Ample free parking will be available within a 5-minute walk of the venue. If you require disabled parking, we have limited availability closer to the venue, please contact us prior to arrival.
Travel times by car vary, however as a guide you can get here from the following cities by google maps. The nearest motorway junction is J15-J17 on the M4.

We can offer camping for this event to stay on Friday 11th. Toilet facilities are on site, however there are no showers. A fee of £5 per pitch is payable and pre booking is essential. Please get in touch if you wish to book a spot.

Winners trophies awarded to the following; 1st, 2nd & 3rd male and 1st, 2nd & 3rd female overall.
Categories will be awarded to the 1st in the triathlon event for the following male and female categories: D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q. In addition we will award the first in the vet 40+ and vet 60+ categories for the aquabike event.
Results will be available the evening of the event and uploaded onto LPS Events website under the results page. There will be a link to the event photographs from the results page also.
You can enter through our partner RaceNation where you can update your entry if anything changes closer to the event. If you require a postal entry, please contact us. Entries on the day for this event will not be accepted. Entries will open on 22nd July 09:00 and close on 30th August 18:00.

We will have a Triathlon England Race Referee present on the day of the event. In addition we will have a motorcycle referee.
Please familiarise yourself with the rules to prevent disappointment on the day.

For your entrance fee, you will receive a bespoke medal, designed especially for this event. You will also receive an event memento. Electronic timing is available for the event and you will receive electronic split times for the event. You will have access to a free online training programme and also you will be part of the 2020 Cotswolds End Of Season Standard Triathlon.
As soon as we receive your entry for this event, the money is budgeted towards the successful delivery of this event. For this reason refunds will not be permitted once you have entered. Lake 62 is a privately owned well kept lake in the Cotswolds. This lake has been unused for many years, keeping it one of the finest. Its size and shape allows for some great spectating at all our events here and provides a base for triathletes wishing to take part in a medium sized event on a flat profile.

You should ensure that you train your body for endurance multisport events and build up your stamina. This will enhance your overall fitness. A combination of strengthened joints and also fitness will aid in your successful completion of this event and assist with your recovery after the event. As you will be mixing disciplines, we recommend that you train this way by combining your sessions back to back, especially your bike to run. This will make your triathlon experience much more enjoyable.
