Make the most of your Summer by signing up to our 30baysin30days event and also help make it a record fundraising year for Les Bourgs Hospice's 30th birthday! The challenge is to swim at least 30 strokes in 30 different bays around the island during the month of July but it can be flexible to suit your needs so you can repeat swims at easier access bays if some of the South coast bays aren't for you. Whether you want to explore parts of the island you've never been to, resdiscover a love of sea swimming or make new memories with friends and family we like to think that this event provides something for everyone.
Please visit www.30bays.org for full details about the event. Once you have signed up a registration pack will be posted out to you in the week leading up to the event.
This event was established in 2014 to raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice, encourage more people to swim in the sea and discover different parts of Guernsey and is now a key event in many islander's Summer calendar. The 30baysin30days concept has been shared with the Jersey Hospice & National Trust Jersey and it has evolved in Guernsey to include a smaller family friendly 9baysin30days version and also a Winter 12 Bays of Christmas challenge. In 2020 over 800 people registered, raising over £44.5k and this year is the Hospice's 30th birthday so we would really appreciate your help in breaking that record! Please encourage friends, family and work colleagues to get signed up and if the prospect of doing it as an individual is too much why not enter as a team and share the list of bays between you? It's easier than you think so get signed up and make the most of your Summer!
