Jolly Running's Dark Halloween Fun Run

Fun run starts at 5pm.

Race number pick up opens at 4pm - 4:45pm.

Minimum Age 3 years old on race day.

Parents/adults can accompany their children. All participants need an entry.

Everyone entering will get a Glow in the Dark medal and a flashing foam baton thingy.

Entries are Limited and the race entry closes on Monday 24th October at 9pm so please don't leave it until the last minute.

There are also adults 5k & 10k night trail races.

Our Dark Halloween kids fun run is a fun and healthy alternative to taking your children Trick or Treating.

The 1 mile fun run is taking place in the beautiful grounds of Cockington Court. 

The location is stunning. At the heart of Cockington Village lies Cockington Court, an historic manor house with roots in medieval times, surrounded by 460 acres of pretty country park. The perfect setting for a run on Halloween evening!!

Cockington Court also has over twenty craft studios, The Seven Dials cafe, walled art garden, tudor rose garden, contemporary art gallery and a popular children’s play area. 

The grounds are beautifully managed by the Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust charity and the court is run under the Torbay Development Agency.

We have collaborated with the TDA to compliment their Halloween activities.

The fun run route will be on some of the same course that the adults do on the 10k event. It will take you on the paths and grass trails of the arboretum and around the lakes. 

The fun run takes place at dusk and due to the fading light torches are mandatory, it also adds to the Halloween fun.

Children and adults fancy dress is very welcome and fully encouraged, you know us, any excuse to have fun,dress up, don a costume or look silly and enjoy running. And who doesn't like to dress up on Halloween??

Minimum Age is 3 years  ( accompanied by an adult ) 

This is a fun run rather than a race therefore in accordance with UKA & England Athletics there will not be any timings, prizes or published results. It's just for a bit of fun!

All entrants will wear a race number. 

All entries will get a bespoke Glow in the Dark Halloween Fun Run medal and a flashing foam glow baton thingy. 

Adults can enter with their children too. Everyone entering needs to sign up online.

Please enter your Child's details on the system and remember to add your contact details as their Emergency contact.

Full event information will be emailed to you in advance of the event.

We have collaborated with the Torbay Development agency and the Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust in making this event family friendly, we have 3 designated pay and display car parks in very close proximity to the Race HQ which will have extended opening hours for the event and there are toilets and a cafe at race Hq too. The Drum Inn pub is also a short walk across the green. 

We are arranging for food and drink to be available so you can make an evening of it and feed your hungry little runners afterwards.

YOUR SAFETY IS ALWAYS MY TOP PRIORITY and the routes are heavily marshalled by friends, family and members of the running community most of them are runners themselves, the course is also marked with flashing light sticks, reflective arrows, barrier tape and reflective tape. Head torches or a source of light is mandatory for ALL THE HALLOWEEN EVENTS including the fun run.

Places on our fun run are limited. Once they're gone, they're gone! It is online entry. 

Race registration for race number pick up is at 4pm-4:45pm 

Race HQ is located at Cockington Court.

The fun run starts at 5pm. It is sunset at 16:52 so it will be getting dark.

As the fun run starts at dusk a torch/head torch is required and mandatory for your safety.
