Breaking Barriers: All Matters Neurodiverse Sporting Event - Sunday, 14 September 2025
James Hadley-Piggin from All Matters Neurodiverse is organising a sporting event to encourage neurodiverse individuals to get into sports. James is neurodiverse and sport helped transform him from an under confident teenager with low self-esteem to an individual who has run an ultra-marathon and numerous other sporting feats over the last few years to his current challenge - running seven marathons in seven days across multiple locations in support for the All Matters Neurodiverse Charity.
The event is designed to increase participation in sport and physical activity within Jersey’s neurodiverse community.
While the target audience is families with neurodiverse children, the event is open and welcoming to everyone.
The day will be split into two parts: from 10:00 to 13:00, a range of local sports will be showcased, offering participants the chance to try different activities. From 13:00 to 16:00, a series of inclusive running events will take place.
All Matters Neurodiverse will be there to educate sports clubs about neurodiversity and provide some strategies that can work in order to be more accommodating to those who want to learn more.
The Sports Organisations taking part in the event are as follows:
