Welcome to Round 2 of the Jersey Cycling's 2021/22 Cyclocross series.
There will be two races 'Elite' and 'Sport' with separate categories for Ladies within each race. Where numbers make sense, the Ladies races will start 2 minutes ahead of the rest of the field.
The Elite race will be approximately 50 minutes in duration. Whilst Juniors and Youth riders will be accepted, they must be minimum 2nd year Youth B and endorsed by the Coaching team of the JYC. The event will be limited to 50 riders and the Organisers reserve the right to move riders to the Sport race if oversubscribed.
The Sport race will be run over the same (or similar) course and will be approximately 30 minutes in duration. The Sport race is intended to be a fun race and is perfectly suited to both newcomers and experienced riders. Juniors and Youth riders will be accepted, they must be minimum Youth B. The event will be limited to 50 riders.
For the Points Series, points will be awarded to all starters in each category, with 60 points for each race winner, 59 points for second place etc. All finishers will receive points. In a small change to the previously advised plan, 4 out of 5 rounds will count. With a number of riders not available for round 1 and to allow other riders to miss a race, this seems to be a more flexible option. We hope you agree. The series winner in each category will be the one to have attained most points over 4 rounds. If you race all 5 rounds your lowest placing will be dropped. Gridding will be based on current points position and where appropriate, finishing positions in last years reduced race series.
Details for Cumulative Time series will be shared as those races approach..
The timetable of events will be:

Points classifications by race, for male and female age groups are available in the link below. Let us know if you think you are classified incorrectly. As our Cyclocross season extends from 2021 into 2022, age classifications are based on your 2022 age groupings in line with British Cycling classifications.
We look forward to welcoming you all on Sunday.
