Female Cycling Skills Event
The aim of the skills event is to give female riders more confidence in riding skills and encourage more females into racing on and off island, whether this be for TT, Track, Road, MTB or Cyclocross.
The places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Where?
We will be holding this on the St.Johns Kart Circuit - find it on what 3 words ///bellowing.gravitate.endure
The event will aim to allow riders to gaining confidence in the following areas to name a few:
Dead turns
Downhill
Corners
Positioning
Drinking while moving
Eating while moving
Overtaking
When to make your move
Riding in a group
What do I need:
To attend the event you should have:
A road worthy bike
Appropriate Bike helmet and kit.
You should also ensure that you have enough hydration and fuel for the session.
Please note if you are cycling to and from the event, you may need lights for the journey home, please ensure there are charged. It is the cyclists responsibility to ensure they have appropriate kit and bike maintenance completed before they arrive at the course.
Please ensure you have booked for the event, any people that ‘pitchup’ in the hope of a coaching session will be asked to leave if they are not booked in.
We will set up a WhatsApp group to give updates on weather conditions that week and if session needs to be moved or rearranged – on signing up to the event you are giving permission to be added to this WhatsApp group chat.
If you intend to drive up to the site please ensure you use the free car park located on Rue Du Nord.
Please note these session is not for Jersey Youth Cycling currently.
