About Salisbury 54321 2020

Event Date - Sunday 9 August 2020

The Salisbury 5-4-3-2-1 walk and trail run is an event suited to all the family, with a choice of distance from 5k to the more demanding 42k Marathon, or even a popular 50k Ultra Marathon.

The routes are all on footpaths, bridleways and quiet country roads in the Salisbury Wessex area and will take you past a variety of sites of historical and scientific interest and through country estates not usually open to the public.

This has been made possible by the kind permission of several estate and landowners along the route, including English Heritage.

Entry Fees:

Runners: Affiliated £30, Unaffiliated £32

Walkers: Adults 16 & Over £13, Under 16s £8

Start Times:

08:00 Walkers for 50k, 42k and 33k

09:30 50k Ultra Marathon Runners, minimum age 20

10:00 Marathon Runners, minimum age 20

10:00 10K Walkers (Walking event only)

10:30 33k Runners, minimum age 18

11:00 Half Marathon Runners, minimum age 17

11:30 Half Marathon and 5k Walkers (the 5k only is a pushchair friendly route)

All participants should aim to have finished by 18:00

Walkers must not jog or run

5 Rivers: Avon, Bourne, Ebble, Nadder and Wylye

4 Hills: Old Sarum, King Manor, Clearbury Hill Fort and Salisbury Racecourse

3 Country Estates: Clarendon, Longford and Wilton

2 Castles: Old Sarum and Longford

1 Cathedral with a 404ft Spire


All routes are circular, starting and finishing at Salisbury Fire Station (OS184 MR 140308)

All distances include regular drink stations and a finishers' medal.  T-Shirts are available to buy separately.
