FOR CRAIG
My brother Craig lost his battle with cancer on 2nd October 2021. From his diagnosis in January 2021, the hospital staff in Jersey, Southampton and Edinburgh were amazing and supported his 'just get on with it' attitude to the very end. But it was the charities, and volunteers within those charities, who made a huge difference in supporting Craig and all of our family, both then and even now.
While I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew, it's now time for me to do something for the charities who helped Craig and my family. My plan is to run, swim and cycle various events through March to October 2022, culminating in the London marathon which will be a year to the day when Craig lost his fight. A few friends have very kindly agreed to join me where they can and cannot thank them enough for helping raise some funds and getting me through it.
It would be very much appreciated if you could dig deep and donate whatever you can afford in the knowledge it will go some way to helping the many other individuals and families who have to deal with this cruel disease. Whatever money is raised I will split equally between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Jersey Cancer Trust, both of whom helped Craig in Edinburgh and down here in Jersey.
