Join Us on a Scenic Journey Along the Severn Way and Sharpness Canal!
Are you ready for an unforgettable experience? Lace up your running shoes, grab your water bottle, and prepare to explore the picturesque waterways of Gloucestershire. Our 50 km river and canal run promises breathtaking views, historical landmarks, and a sense of adventure that will stay with you long after the finish line
Setting Sail our journey begins at the historic Gloucester Docks, where centuries-old warehouses and charming narrow boats create an enchanting backdrop. Feel the buzz of anticipation as fellow runners gather, each with their own story to tell.
As we set off, the Severn Way beckons. This scenic trail hugs the Severn River, winding through country trails and past quaint villages. Keep an eye out for wildlife—perhaps a heron or a family of ducks will cheer you on!
At Saul Junction, where the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal meets the Stroud water Canal, we pause to appreciate the engineering marvels that brought these waterways together and refuel at the aid station.
From Saul Junction, we head back out onto the Severn Way before re-joining the Sharpness Canal path and admire the beautiful narrow boats and maybe even say hello to the lock keepers before arriving at Sharpness Docks and heading around to finish just beyond the beautiful marina
You’ve conquered 50 km of beauty, resilience, and camaraderie. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first-timer, this event is about more than miles—it’s about the stories etched into the water, the laughter shared with fellow participants, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from pushing your limits.
As with all Gert Lush Events we will be supporting our charity Bigmoose, you can raise money for them if you wish by signing up when registering for a place. We will also be supporting Jogon and the GL11 Foodbank with our mandatory entry items.
This event is organised in partnership with the Canal & River trust
Join us for the inaugural Dock 2 Dock - 9th November 2024.
