FACT: Over 5,300 children are living in poverty in Wokingham Borough Council. It's time to do get active and doing something based on the number 5.3, 53 or 5,300.

Come and join us with and run/walk your own 5.3 challenge at Bracknell Athletics Track be it:

• ​Run 530 metres (just over a lap of the 400m running track)

• Run 5.3 laps (2.1km)

• Run 5.3km (13.25 laps)

• Run 5.3 miles (21 laps)

• Or come up with your own 5.3 run challenge!!

Or how about take on the ULTIMATE CHALLENGE - cover 53 laps which is the equivalent to a HALF MARATHON!​ You could tackle the 53 laps (Half Marathon) as a relay with friends…..?

Count your own laps. Turn up and take part anytime between 2 - 5pm.

​Suitable for all ages and stages! At our first event in March it was great to see so many youngsters taking part and challenging themselves and enjoying a cake (or two) after.

Soft play equipment and games to be available for children to play with on the in-field of the track.

Complete your 5.3 challenge, and choose from:

• A bespoke wooden medal

• Have a tree planted with location emailed to you

• First Days to purchase a packet of nappies on your behalf.

Based on the current cost of living, we fully appreciate just how challenging it is to make finances balance at the moment. With this in mind, and wanting to make the event accessible to as many people as possible, we have a tiered pricing option. We would ask you to consider the level that feels appropriate to your circumstances. There will be no judgement, disclosure or difference in the event experience based on which tier you opt for:

£15.30 - Tier 3 - if you are financially secure; you can comfortably afford modest luxuries like holidays; you don't really have to think about money at all month-to-month.

£10.53 - Tier 2 - If you have a reliable source of income that more-than covers your day to day financial needs; you don't really have to think about the costs of nights out etc.

£5.30 - Tier 1 - If the above do not really apply or you're just more comfortable contributing at this level (for any reason)

£1.53 - Low/No Wage Ticket - For those without a reliable source of income, or who struggle to cover their basic monthly expenses. Please note that we can only offer a limited number of these tickets - they are limited to 1 per customer and they are on a first-come-first served basis.

Tiers are on a self-assessment basis - it's entirely up to you which you pick. Please don't worry about buying a higher tiered ticket if you'd prefer not to; only contribute at a level you are comfortable with.
