EPIC Challenges are bringing back a one-off special EPIC Week – for week two of the Guernsey lockdown starting on Wednesday 1st April.
The aim is to encourage anyone, no matter what age or fitness level, to keep moving during the lockdown to make sure they stay healthy in both body and mind.
For one week we are asking people to commit to working out, doing something different for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. Walk, run, cycle or get creative with a home workout!
The main rule is that it MUST be within the latest Public Health guidelines regarding social distancing and exercise.
We want the community to find creative ways of staying active and having fun during a very challenging time.
Everyone taking part can send in videos or photos of themselves and what they have come up with to move outside their comfort zone. This may be as simple as going for a bike ride or a run but we also want to see creative and funny ideas. Think Rocky training in Siberia (Rocky 4) Let’s all inspire each other and beat this virus. The crazier the better.
It’s very important to note ANY activity MUST be done within the States of Guernsey and Public Health Coronavirus guidance. This is a personal challenge for individuals, families in the same house or companies wanting to enter groups so their staff can keep active whilst working from home. Activities where you need to meet up with others are not permitted and you are not to be outside (of your own home) for longer than permitted by the guidance.
