Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust launches the Durrell Challenge 2020, a 13K road race held in Jersey, Channel Islands, taking place on Sunday 27 September 2020.

13K Road Race

We will be staging a small 13K road race on Sunday 27 September for our local runners(Jersey residents’ only)* with limited numbers, so that we comply with the Government of Jersey’s Level 1 restrictions that are currently in place. This means that we will still operate a managed road race, but it will include a number of precautions to ensure that we mitigate any risk associated with the spread of COVID-19.

The 13K road race will start from Victoria Park, St. Helier. The race will finish at Jersey Zoo, which will be open as usual for members and visitors. After the race, the zoo will come alive with wild activities around the grounds!

*The staging of the Durrell Challenge 13K Road Race on Sunday 27 September is subject to the Bailiff Chambers permit and the event complying with the Government of Jersey’s policy for mass gatherings and events, that is in place on the date of the event. If the event is forced to be cancelled due to Government Policy changes, runners will be automatically transferred to the 13K Virtual Durrell Challenge and receive a £10 discount from entry into the Durrell Challenge 2021 event.
