About The South West Swim 3-2-1 Challenge 2026

The 3-2-1 Swim Festival takes place in the crystal-clear waters of Waterhay Lake, in the heart of the Cleveland Lakes Nature Reserve near Cirencester. This chip-timed, mass-participation open water swimming event offers competitors a choice of 1-, 2-, or 3-mile race distances.

For those seeking the ultimate challenge, swimmers can enter all three distances. The fastest competitors across the combined distances will be crowned the Swim King & Queen of the Cotswolds.

Each swim has a separate start time, with the event beginning with the 1-mile swim, followed by the 2-mile and then the 3-mile.
