Venue

Set at Cotswold Country Park and Beach (CCPB), a beautiful venue used for several triathlons throughout the year, CCPB are now launching the very first 5K run around the perimeter of the lake on mixed terrain. Our venue has parking available on site included in the price. We have Catering facilities available on the day to tickle your taste buds, and activities to make the most of the day, or relax at the beach! (We just ask that each spectator books in advance to help us to manage capacity).

Only advanced registrations will be possible. There will be no on the day sign-ups for any of the events.

What’s included – Treats at the finish lane, onsite parking for the day, access to all of our facilities.

Course

The course is along pathways around lakes 31 & 32, we have individually set out all competitors to reduce the need for overtaking, but there will be plenty of opportunities where it is safe to overtake on the course.

There will be marshals along the course should you need any medical or directional assistance and much needed motivation!

Our start area and finish line are in separate areas. These are quiet areas, so we ask that spectators please wait elsewhere for their athlete to finish, mindful of their social distancing.

About CCPB 5K

CCPB 5K Run Format



Runners will be set out in waves of 30, at 30 minute intervals starting from 10AM.



Runners within a wave will be set off at 20 second intervals in a rolling start format. There will be holding pens at the start where you will enter the queue of the time bracket you feel you will complete the course in.



Start and Finish will be in separate places and we ask that you run individually.



Participants should run on the inside to allow for over taking on the outside.



DOG OWNERS - Our 2PM wave is suitable for owner and dog running pairs!



CCPB 5K Adult & child running pair Format



Runners will be set out in their pairs of one adult aged over 18 years old and a child under 18 years old, at 20 second intervals in a rolling start format, starting from 15:00PM.



Please ensure that a child is always accompanied by the adult within their pair. Please ensure that you are from the same household unit, if you are entering as a pair.



Start and Finish will be in separate places.



Participants should run on the inside to allow for over taking on the outside.



Start Process



Race numbers/bibs will be issued at registration, alongside timing chips. Prior to each wave, you will receive a safety brief. When you reach the start gate for your ‘wave’ you will be queued by your predicted finish time which will be used to seed runners through the start gate. The start area is a place where everyone needs to be mindful of their social distancing, 2M markings will be in place. 



Registration will be open from 9AM Sunday, please bring a mask with you as registration will be in our Dragonfly shop. Hot drinks, cold drinks & hot food will be available at our Beach Shack.



Covid Secure



- Please do not attend the event if you have displayed any covid symptoms in the 14 days in the run up to the event.



- Please aim to arrive with an hour to spare before your start time, in order to register.



- We are practising a 2m+ social distance policy, we have the luxury of space so we are going to make good use of it. One way systems will be in play with socially distanced markers on the floor where you might need to queue. 



-Our registration is indoors, please bring a mask with you to register.



- We have sanitizer dispenser’s onsite. 



- Spectating may only take place away from the start and finish areas following government guidelines.



- Please can spectator’s book in advance on the event booking site, to help us manage capacity and travel with the competitor, following government guidelines. Any additional vehicles will have to be booked via phone.



- The CCPB Team will be temperature checked prior to working, wearing PPE; masks, gloves/hand sanitiser, screens will be used when we need to work more closely with you and each other. 



-Athletes will also be temperature checked on registration. If anyone is above 37.5 degrees, they will not be able to participate. Their tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to races in 2021.
