We are very grateful to our sponsors, Premier Financial Planning and Station Road Garage, who enable us to provide excellent value for money, and to Corsham Court, whose grounds we are glad to be able to use and which we appreciate and respect. We are equally grateful to Maggie Davies of F.I.T. who will lead the warm up this year. The entrance fee is £6.50 which includes the chip timing, finishers medal, a gift and a certificate.
Hi there! We’re glad to know you’re thinking of entering Corsham 2k 2025. Here is some information to help you decide if it’s for you. Firstly, the race is restricted to those who were at least 5yrs old on 31.12.24 and will be under 16yrs old on race day. Please note that only those with an official race number will be permitted to run the course (i.e. no adults); there are lots of spots where supporters can watch and cheer!
This year, the Race HQ and Village for both the 2K and 10K will be at Corsham Rugby Club, just slightly further down the Lacock Road than our previous base. One of the advantages of this change is that the finish gantry will be within the Club grounds rather than on the road, which means that access and the potential for supporters to be able to be close to, and watch, the finish will be much more straightforward.
We’re still offering our traditional lovely route beginning in the delightful Corsham Court Park, passing along the tree-lined Avenue and through the impressive gates to return along the Lacock Road (which will be closed to traffic) but the start point will be adjusted to reflect the slightly increased length at the end of the course.
Another difference will be that, whilst the Race Director’s welcome and final briefing will be at HQ, the warm up will be within the Park so that we can proceed quickly from that to the race start. We will move as a group (of marshals, runners and parents/supporters) between the two places.
The race will be chip timed by DBMax, and official photos will be available to order. All finishers will receive a goody bag and trophies will be awarded for boys and girls in the age categories U7, U9, U11, U13, U16.
To further enhance your experience and to keep you safe, the route will be closely marshalled, and 3 shepherd marshals and a sweep marshal will run with the field. First Aiders will also be on hand, just in case.
Please note that there are no entries available on the day, and that runners must be accompanied by a responsible adult when they collect their race numbers. That person must remain on the route or at the race village for the duration of the event.
W e are delighted that Corsham based Premier Financial Planning and Station Road Garage are sponsoring us this year. Many thanks to both; we couldn’t do it without you!
