Sunday 24th April 2022
The Corsham 10K is now in its 39th year, organised by members of the Corsham Running Club. It is one of the biggest 10K's in Wiltshire, attracting 1400 runners from local clubs in the South West and further afield.
Like many races around the world, we are also cleaning up our race. In 2018 we stopped giving out plastic bottles of water on the course and at the finish, instead we handed out water in recyclable cups. This seemed to go down well with everyone who took part in the 10K over the last two years.
Our commitment to giving runners a choice to make races less wasteful continues in 2022. All finishers of the 10K will have a choice. Runners can choose not to collect the Medal, T-Shirt or Marshfield Farm Icecream at the finish, we are calling this the No Frills Package, there is a reduced price for this option. Or you can have the T-shirt, Medal and Marshfield Farm Icecream - all newly designed for 2022. The choice is yours.
A 10K road race, with partial road closures. Starting and finishing at Corsham Football Club on the Lacock Road. The race progresses through Corsham, then onto Westwells and the beautiful village of Neston. The route is marshalled by members of Corsham Running Club and other local community groups, with one water station at the half way point.
Prizes will be awarded at 12pm at the Corsham Football Club.
There will be stalls selling cakes, drinks, refreshments. Also a massage service and running clinic will be available to all runners.
For the Corsham 10K 2022 the prize money is:
1st place Male and Female £100.00
2nd place Male and Female £75.00
3rd place Male and Female £50.00
We involve and support as many local organisations as possible and are grateful for the kind sponsorship from local businesses. Any surplus monies after costs are donated to local charities. The 2021 10K supported seven local charities. For more information visit corsham10k.co.uk
