About Centrepoint 4x4x48 Challenge 2024

Friends,

We welcome you to the 4x4x48 Challenge, raising funds for ‘The Space’ a specialised facility at Centrepoint caring for children aged 4-11 with complex or additional needs.

The 4x4x48 second year here in Jersey, is no ordinary challenge which involves running 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. Yes, that’s 4 miles, 12 times, over a 48-hour period, 48 miles in total.

This gruelling challenge equates to running almost 2 marathons over the course of the 2 days!

Created by the legendary Navy SEAL David Goggins and brought to life here by James Barrett, whose son, Teddy, loves ‘The Space’.

Together we can make a difference; together we change children's lives; four miles at a time.

Please direct enquiries to 4x4x48@centrepoint.je

Centrepoint has been at the heart of Jersey’s childcare industry for almost 40 years as a trusted, caring organisation where children can thrive and flourish.

We are committed to playing even more of a key role in supporting children and families within the community whose needs are greatest. We feel no child or family should be disadvantaged and we are committed to making care and learning through play accessible to everyone by apportioning a percentage of our revenue and running specific fundraisers to support this.

We work closely with government and other agencies, playing an increasingly pivotal role in supporting children and families in areas that may be challenging or of no commercial interest to regular childcare providers.

The Space comprises of a breakfast club, after school club, part-time and full-time holiday club, and a weekend club.

I am so grateful for the facilities and care that you provide at Centrepoint. Short breaks provide my son with money-can’t-buy access to life skills and opportunities to develop his communication skills in a nurturing and patient environment provided by some of the most caring and focused support staff I’ve ever come across.

Kelly, Parent
