What is a Handicap Race

Is a road road where all riders race of the same distance but division One and Three are given a head start or "Handicap".

The riders leave at this time in groups, riders in the group ride working together hoping to keep the others at bay, the chasing group working together to make the catch, and then all racing for the line, if the handicapping is spot on, all riders will be together for the final sprint to the line.

This is dependent on all riders riding working together in both groups, if this does not occur the catch is either not made or made too early.

What is a Handicap Race

This is a road/track  race  where all riders race of the same distance but division One and Three are given a head start or "Handicap".

This is dependent on all riders riding working together in both groups, if this does not occur the catch is either not made or made too early. For Division 3 and 1 their best chance for success is to not to get caught as they will be racing a small number from their division for the overall win.
