We look forward to running an exciting race for you to enjoy.

Here are a few technical notes for the race itself.

TECHNICAL REGS - The race will be run as a XC MTB event and we generally apply the British Cycling technical regulations for this type of race. The race must be completed in full on the same bike. Only wheels and other small components (e.g. chain) can be replaced in the event of a failure. This can only take place in the technical area by the finish line. You may carry tools with you to make any repairs.

LITTER - Dropping of litter will not in any circumstances be accepted and riders will be disqualified if they are observed dropping gel wrappers or other litter. If you cannot put an empty gel wrapper into a pocket or stuff it down your jersey, do not take the gel in the first place.

CONDUCT - Bad language will not be tolerated, in particular towards race officials, marshals or members of the public, and any reports of it may result in the rider concerned being disqualified. You may be disqualified for littering, cutting corners, riding dangerously or arriving after your allocated start time. While the event takes place on private land there may be walkers or others who are not aware of the race in progress so please be courteous where possible.

About CCC MTB Series 2022 - Race 4 - Greve De Lecq Woods

Round 4 of the CCC MTB Series heads to Greve De Lecq woods. A great race venue with excellent, flowing descents the reward for the climbing through the trees. This will be the third race in a 5 round series with your 4 best races counting towards the overall results.



Parking is down at the bottom of the hill in the tower car park. Anybody found parking on the hill will likely get a fine from the parish hall! For those riding from there access is along the road up the St Mary's side to the woods entrance. For anyone walking you can access the sign-on area by following the lower paths through the woods.



You must pre-enter via this RaceNation event and no sign-on or entries will be accepted on the day. From the entry list an electronic timing transponder will be allocated to each rider and these will be given out on the morning and must be returned after the race. You do not need any other number.



A portable chemical toilet is provided at the event.



Expected race durations will be based on 1hr 30mins for Elite Male category with all other adult categories racing over 1 hour.



JYC will dictate the length of the Youth and Junior class races

09:30 - 11:15 - Race



11:15 onwards - Course Tidy Up



 



Trophies are awarded in the overall series for the following categories :

Elite Male (18-39)



Sport Male (18-39)

Female (18 +)

Veteran Male (40-49)

Grand Veteran Male (50-59)

Super Veteran Male (60+)

Youth Male & Female



Helmets are compulsory for the event, gloves recommended.
