This fantastic 5K route is a great opportunity to explore the home of two 30-metre high horses! The Kelpies are mythical creatures who love to play at dusk, each one weighs over 300 tonnes. Come and immerse yourself in a light journey with them.
Take a beautiful and iconic venue such as The Kelpies, wait until dusk, get the family together, dig out the flourescent clothing and grab everything and anything that glows or flashes. Then set off on a Supernova 5K!
Please note: The Supernova Run is open to all ages. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
As part of the registration process you will be asked to choose which day of the event you would like to attend. These are:
Friday 18 March
Saturday 19 March
Sunday 20 March
If you already have a place in the event directly through the event organisers and would like to use this place to fundraise for the British Dyslexia Association, please select the Own Place ticket below.
If you would like one of our guaranteed entry places in the event, please choose the Charity Place ticket option. We ask our Charity Place participants to pay a £15 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.

The Supernova 5K event is the perfect way to get involved in a timed 5K with your family and friends, whilst taking in the atmosphere and fun. Starting & finishing within Helix Park, this beautiful route allows runners the rare opportunity to run alongside the iconic Kelpie sculptures, which are lit up and change colour at dusk to create a beautiful spectacle for participants and spectators alike!
