Brought to you by Blended Trails for the 2nd Year and a Bronze Ticket event, set on stunning trails within private land at Chilton Manor Farm in The Candovers, The Blended Backyard is perfect for seasoned trail runners, ultra runners and those looking to push the boundaries of personal achievement.

What is a Backyard Ultra?

Developed by Gary ‘Lazarus Lake’ Cantrell, the founder of the infamous Barkley Marathons, entrants are required to complete consecutive loops of exactly 6,706m (4 miles, 880ft) in less than one hour. The race finishes when only one runner remains to complete a lap.

Each new loop starts precisely one hour after the last. This race is open-ended. All entrants except the last runner to complete a lap are considered DNF. Time remaining after a lap is used to refuel and recover before the next one starts.

When is it?

The Blended Trails Backyard Ultra takes place Saturday 7th June 2025. 

The private camp ground opens on Friday 6th June with registration.

Participants can also bring a support crew or the family at no extra charge, although there is an additional charge per camping pitch or overnight van. Our campsite can accommodate vans or tents but there will be no electrical hook-up.
