Gloucester Marathon Sunday 23rd January 2022
Registration and General Enquires located at Severn Vale Sports Centre School Lane, Quedgeley Gloucester. GL2 4PR between 7.45am to 08.45am your race Pack with your running number and chip will be sent to you 2 weeks prior to the race
The course is flat and mainly traffic free. There is a new Start and Finish location which goes straight out and back to and from the main loop on a different course route to the 2019 race.

Age
Runners must be 18 Years of age on the day of the race
Time Limit
There is a strict 6 Hours –15 Minutes Time Limit
Race Briefing
This will take place on the Start line at 08.55am
The Race Start is at 09.00am
The course will be measured by a UK Athletics approved course measurer and will be licensed through England Athletics the application will be completed through Run Britain UK Athletics
Safety
The safety of our runner’s officials, marshals and volunteers, contractors, spectators and everyone involved with our races is paramount to us.
Runners of all abilities are welcome Elite Athletes, Club Runners, Recreational Runners, and Charity Runners, who are encouraged to raise monies for good causes.
Feeding Station
This will be situated every 5K there will be water and at every other feed station High 5 and water.
Feeding station at the finish, there will be bottled water and High 5 available to all competitors.
Medals / Tech T-Shirt
All Finishers will receive a specially designed medal at the Finish. You will need to collect your Tech-T Shirt from the Sports Hall at Race HQ after you have finished the race
Medical Support
First Aid and emergency cover is provided by Hawthorn Medical Services. There will be Staff on duty on the course and first Aid station at the Finish.
Changing rooms / Showers
There are changing rooms and hot showers available to competitors
Results
The results will be on the Website http://Gloucestermarathon.co.uk as soon as you have finished the race.
Refreshments will be available outside Severn Vale Sports Hall Race HQ Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks, Hot Food and Sandwiches
Presentation of Awards
The prizes are as follows first Six Individuals Men/Women First Female Vet 0/40 and Male Vet 0/40 and then in the subsequent 5 year age groups up to 80 years of age.
If there is any competitor over 85 years of age finishes the race these runners will receive an award.
No Competitor will be able to win two prizes: If a veteran athlete finishes in the first six individual positions overall Men & Women they will receive the individual prize. You must collect your prize on the day of the race. No prizes will be sent out to your home address
If you are unable to wait for the race presentation please go to the Sports Centre Main Hall and go to the prize giving table and ask for Sandra Ennis or Anne Wilson which will be in this location and they will give you your prize after checking the results.
