Race Venue 



Registration and General Enquires located at Severn Vale Sports Centre School Lane, Quedgeley Gloucester. GL2 4PR between 7.30am to 09.00am your race Pack with your running number and chip for the Gloucester Marathon will be sent to you 10 days prior to the race



Anyone who has lost there race number and chip or did not receive there race pack in the post You will need to go to the help registration desk and general enquires on the day of the race between 7.30am to 09.00am



The course is 95% Traffic Free  There is a new Start and Finish.  There will be a Start gantry across the road on School Lane Hardwicke 400 metres from Race HQ. The Finish is in the grounds of Severnvale School left off School Lane which is 100 metres from Race HQ.

The course route goes straight out and back from the main loop which is  a different direction to previous years.

Age

Runners must be 18 Years of age on the day of the race



Time Limit

There is a strict 6 Hour-15 minutes



Baggage

Baggage can be left at Severn Vale Sports Centre, School Lane, Quedgeley, Gloucester GL2 4PR

There will be a member of our staff with your baggage at all times.



Race Briefing

This will take place on the Start line at 08.55am



The Race Start is 09.15am

The Race Start is in School Lane Hardwicke which is 425 metres from race HQ Severn Vale Sports Centre.The start and finish locations have changed for the event in 2021. The runners go straight out to the main loop then run 4 laps of 9,470kms and then back to the finish on the road in School Lane Quedgeley. 

The course is flat and fast if you’re looking for a personal best time.

The Course

The course will have a UKA Certificate of Course Accuracy and a UK Athletic license

Feeding Station

This will be situated every 5K there will water and at every other feed station High 5.

The Finish is on School Lane on the road in Quedgeley .



The finish there will be a feeding station there will be high 5 and bottled water available to all competitors.



Medals / long Sleeve Tech T-Shirt

All Finishers will receive a specially designed medal at the Finish. You will need to collect your long sleeve Tech-T Shirt in the Sports Hall after you have finished the race.NO long sleeve Tech T-Shirt will be sent to your address.



Medical Support

First Aid and emergency cover is provided by Local Medical Services. There will be Staff on duty on the course and first Aid station at the Finish.



Changing rooms / Showers

There are changing rooms and hot showers available to competitors



Results

These will be on the Website http://Gloucestermarathon.co.uk  as soon as you have finished the race.



Refreshments

Refreshments will be available outside Severn Vale Sports Hall Race HQ Tea, coffee, Soft drinks, and hot food



Prizes

The prizes are as follows first Six Individuals Men/Women First Female Vet 0/40 and Male Vet 0/40 and then in the subsequent 5 year age groups up to 80 years of age

If there ia any competitor over 85 years of age these runners will receive an award.



No Competitor will be able to win two prizes: If a veteran athlete finishes in the first six individual positions overall Men & Women they will receive the individual prize. You must collect your prize on the day of the race. No prizes will be sent to your address.



Presentation

The prize giving will take place in the Sports Hall at approximately 1.45pm. If you are unable to be at the prize giving. Please go and see Anne or Sandra in the Sports Hall so you can collect your prize.

Postponement or cancellation

In the unfortunate postponement or cancellation of the race if postponed we will  organise the event on the earliest possible date.



There will be no refunds but we have provided Event Protect Insurance free of charge for every one who entries the race online through our agent Race Nation. Please read section below Event Protect Insurance.This insurance does not cover COVID-19

In the event of the race being postponed we will email you with the new date of the race also details will be put on the website http://gloucestermarathon.co.uk 

If the event is cancelled and Allianz insurance does not cover you for the event. We will offer you a free entry into any of our races up to the 31st December 2021
