Gloucester Half Marathon Sunday 23rd January 2022

Registration and General Enquires located at Severn Vale Sports Centre School Lane, Quedgeley Gloucester. GL2 4PR between 7.45am to 09.30am your race Pack with your running number and chip will be sent to you 10 days prior to the race

The course is a fast route mainly Traffic Free. There is a new Start and Finish location. From the Start the course the route goes straight out and back to the main loop on a different course route to the 2019 race.

Age
Runners must be 17 Years of age on the day of the race

Time Limit
There is a strict 4 Hours – 30 Minutes Time Limit


The Race Start is at 09.45am

The Course
The course is out and back from the Start then two loops of 8.7 kms and then back to the Finish at Severn Vale School.

The course will be measured by a UK Athletics approved course measurer and will be licensed through England Athletics the application will be completed through Run Britain UK Athletics

Safety

The safety of our runner’s officials, marshals and volunteers, contractors, spectators and everyone involved with our races is paramount to us

Runners of all abilities are welcome Elite Athletes, Club Runners, Recreational Runners and Charity Runners who are encouraged to raise monies for good causes.

 

  • Specially designed medal & Tech T-Shirt to all finishers
  • Water stations every 5K and at the finish.
  • High 5 at every other feed station
  • Distance markers for the Half Marathon   1K to 21kms
  • Toilets available and ample free parking
  • Age Limit years 17 years of age on the day for the Half Marathon
  • Join competitors from all over the UK for this classic event in the summer
  • There will be Toilets on the course route

Feeding Station
This will be situated every 5K there will be water and at every other feed station and High 5 and water at every other feeding station.

Medical Support
First Aid and emergency cover is provided by Hawthorn Medical Services. There will be Staff on duty on the course and first Aid Station at the Finish.

Results
The results will be on the Website http://Gloucestermarathon.co.uk  as soon as you have finished the race.

Refreshments will be available outside Severn Vale Sports Hall Coffee, Tea, Soft drinks, Hot Food, Sandwiches

Presentation of Awards

The prizes are as follows first six Individuals Men/Women.  First Female Vet 0/40 and Male Vet 0/40 and then in the subsequent 5 year age groups up to 80 years of age. Presentation of prizes will take place at approximately at 11.45am and a further Presentation of prizes will take place at approximately 1.15pm

If there is any competitor over 85 years of age who finishes the race these runners will receive an award.
