Gloucester Half Marathon Sunday 1st August 2021
Registration and General Enquires located at Severn Vale Sports Centre School Lane, Quedgeley Gloucester. GL2 4PR between 7.45am to 09.30am your race Pack with your running number and chip will be sent to you 10 days prior to the race
Anyone who has lost their race number and chip or did not receive their race pack in the post for the Gloucester Half Marathon will need to go to the help desk at registration and general enquires on the day of the race between 7.45am to 09.30am
The course is a fast route mainly Traffic Free. There is a new Start and Finish location. From the Start the course the route goes straight out and back to the main loop on a different course route to the 2019 race.

Race Briefing
This will take place on the Start line at 09.40am on School Lane opposite Severn Vale Sports Centre.

The Course
The course is out and back from the Start then a loop of 5.6kms and then back to the Finish at Severn Vale School.
The course will be measured by a UK Athletics approved course measurer and will be licensed through England Athletics the application will be completed through Run Britain UK Athletics

Safety
The safety of our runner’s officials, marshals and volunteers, contractors, spectators and everyone involved with our races is paramount to us
Runners of all abilities are welcome Elite Athletes, Club Runners, Recreational Runners and Charity Runners who are encouraged to raise monies for good causes.
Feeding Station
This will be situated every 5K there will be water and at every other feed station and High 5 and water at every other feeding station.
The Finish is in Severn Vale School 100 metres from Race HQ. .
Feeding station at the finish, there will be bottled water and High 5 available to all competitors.
Medals / Tech T-Shirt
All Finishers will receive a specially designed medal at the Finish. You will need to collect your Tech-T Shirt from the Sports Hall at Race HQ after when you have finished the race. NO Tech T Shirts will be sent out to the runners in the post to their home address.
Medical Support
First Aid and emergency cover is provided by Hawthorn Medical Services. There will be Staff on duty on the course and first Aid Station at the Finish.
Changing Rooms / Showers
There are changing rooms and hot showers available to competitors
Results
The results will be on the Website http://Gloucestermarathon.co.uk as soon as you have finished the race.
Presentation of Awards
The prizes are as follows first six Individuals Men/Women. First Female Vet 0/40 and Male Vet 0/40 and then in the subsequent 5 year age groups up to 80 years of age. Presentation of prizes will take place at approximately at 12 Noon and a further Presentation of prizes will take place at approximately 1.15pm
No Competitor will be able to win two prizes: If a veteran athlete finishes in the first six individual positions overall Men & Women they will receive the individual prize. You must collect your prize on the day of the race. No prizes will be sent out to your home address
If there is any competitor over 85 years of age who finishes the race these runners will receive an award.
If you are unable to wait for the race presentation please go to the Main Hall in the Sports Centre and go to the Prize Giving Table and ask for Sandra Ennis or Anne Wilson which will be in this location and they will give you your prize after checking the results.

How do we make our events Covid Secure?
What happens to my entry fee in the event of a local or National lockdown which causes a postponement or cancellation of the event due to extreme weather conditions or other circumstances?
In the event of a postponement or cancellation through extreme weather conditions or other circumstances out of control of the organizer,s we do not provide refunds. You will never lose your money in real terms, because you can use your entry fee and administration fee towards the cost of another event for any of our races for two years following the original planned date. If you can go onto our website www.beyondthelimitations.org.uk to select another race.
Please understand that as a small business. It is impossible for us to plan an event and then offer refunds if the event has to be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances that we cannot control.
