Race Venue 



Registration and General Enquires located at Severn Vale Sports Centre School Lane, Quedgeley Gloucester. GL2 4PR between 7.30am to 09.45am your race Pack with your running number and chip will be sent to you 10 days prior to the race



Anyone who has lost there race number and chip or did not receive there race pack in the post for the Gloucester Half Marathon will need to go to the help desk at registration and general enquires on the day of the race between 7.30am to 09.45am



The course 95% Traffic Free. There is a new Start and Finish location.The race finishes 100 metres from Race HQ.The course route goes straight out and back to and from the main loop of the course in a different direction to the previous years.



Age

Runners must be 17 Years of age on the day of the race



Time Limit

There is a strict  5 Hour Time Limit



Baggage

Baggage can be left at Severn Vale Sports Centre, School Lane, Quedgeley, Gloucester GL2 4PR.

There will be a member of our staff with your baggage at all times.



Race Briefing

This will take place on the Start line at 08.55am on School Lane Hardwicke 400 metres from Race HQ (Please allow enough time to get to the Start)



The Race Start is at 09.00am

There will be a Start gantry across the road in School Lane. This is the Start of the Gloucester Half Marathon. The course is a flat and fast course if you’re looking for a personal best time.



The Course

The course goes straight out to the main loop on a different route than in  2019  followed by 2 laps then back to the Finish on the same route you went out to the main loop from the Start..

The Finish is at  Severnvale School  off School Lane (100 metres from Race HQ). .



Feeding Station

This will be situated every 5K there will be water and at every other feed station High 5.

Feeding station will be at the finish, there will be bottled water and High 5 available to all competitors.



Medals / long Sleeve Tech T-Shirt

All Finishers will receive a specially designed medal at the Finish. You will need to collect your Tech-T Shirt in the Sports Hall after you have finished the race. NO Tech T Shirts will be sent out to the runners address.



Medical Support

First Aid and emergency cover is provided by Hawthorn Medical Services. There will be Staff on duty on the course and first Aid station at the Finish.

Changing rooms / Showers

There are changing rooms and hot showers available to competitors

Results

These will be on the Website http://Gloucestermarathon.co.uk  as soon as you have finished the race.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be available outside Severn Vale Sports Hall Race HQ Tea, coffee, Soft drinks, and hot food

Prizes

The prizes are as follows first six Individuals Men/Women First Female Vet 0/40 and Male Vet 0/40 and then in the subsequent 5 year age groups up to 80 years of age

If there is any competitor over 85 years of age finishes the race these runners will receive an award.

No Competitor will be able to win two prizes: If a veteran athlete finishes in the first six individual positions overall Men & Women they will receive the individual prize. You must collect your prize on the day of the race. No prizes will be sent out to your address

Presentation

The prize giving will take place in the Sports Hall at approximately 12 Noon. If you are unable to be at the prize giving. Please go and see Anne or Sandra in the Sports Hall at Race HQ. So you can collect your prize.



Photographer

Postponement

In the unfortunate postponement of the race the event will be organised at the earliest possible date.

We will email you with the new date of the race also there will be details put onto the website http://gloucestermarathon.co.uk 

What happens to my entry fee in the event of a local or national lockdown which causes a postponement of the event.

In the event of a postponement we do not provide refunds. You will never lose your money in real terms, because you can use your entry fee for any of Beyond the Limitations events for two years following the original planned date.

But please understand that as a small business. It is impossible for us to plan an event and then offer refunds if the event has to be postponed due to circumstances that we cannot control.
